Centre to launch the Colonel Performance Program

DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre Athletics is adding a new program to support and compliment their 23 Intercollegiate Athletic Teams along with their Coaching Staff.

The Colonel Performance Program is a Leadership Development Program in which student-athletes and coaches have the opportunity to engage in intentional training to enhance their leadership skills and make a positive impact on others.

The program for Student-Athletes will build off of the success of the Centre Leadership Series by broadening the curriculum, enhancing the sessions and diversifying the areas of expertise by the facilitators. In addition, there will be Leadership Development Programming for Assistant Coaches as they seek ways to add value to their programs while continuing to develop into Head Coaches.

Objectives:
1.   Become more self-aware of personality and communication style in order to begin or continue the development of personal approach and application  as a leader.
2.   Develop personal leadership skills by learning to lead yourself, lead your teammates and lead your team.
3.   Be prepared on how to intentionally create a high-performing team culture.
4.   Value taking ownership for your leadership experience, taking responsibility for actions and holding one another accountable.
