Andrew P. Amend Field will serve as the new home of the Centre men's and women's soccer programs beginning in 2017.
The state-of-the-art facility features a 75-yard by 120-yard Bermude natural grass playing surface, seating for 500, a press box as well as a patio.
In addition, the Gordon S. Dabney Building, a 7,000-square-foot structure which includes four locker rooms as well as athletic training space, laundry capabilities and public restrooms accompanies the facility.
The Dabney Building houses the men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey, women's lacrosse and softball team locker rooms.
The Centre women's soccer team opens the 2017 season at Amend Field on Friday, Sept. 1 at 6:30pm ET followed by the Colonel men's team facing off with Georgetown (Ky.) at 8:30pm ET.
The field and locker room building will be dedicated at Homecoming 2017 on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 21. Centre will host Sewanee for men's and women's soccer games that afternoon.
