The run continued into the second period when Glang found senior Lorenzo Powell (Newcastle, Wash.) for a goal to make it 4-0 Centre. Junior Dominic Peluso (Redondo Beach, Calif.) scored his first goal of the game three minutes later and capped off the scoring in the first half with his second goal with a little under five minutes remaining. Freshman Noah Hull (Decatur, Ga.) also scored in the second period for the Colonels and junior Sam Long (Cincinnati, Ohio) saved all three attempts that came his way as the Colonels held a 7-0 lead at the half.

Hanover got on the board first in a low scoring third quarter as Chad Szczublewski gave the Panthers their first scoring effort of the day with 2:29 left in the period. Austin Glang responded with the only other goal of the quarter, scoring with 50 seconds remaining to give the Colonels an 8-1 lead with one period left to play.
