DANVILLE, Ky. (CentreColonels.com) - The Centre men's tennis team was narrowly defeated by Division II Bellarmine by a score of 5-4 on Sunday afternoon in Danville. 

The freshmen duo of Adam Slone (Lexington, Ky.) and Max Middleton (Atlanta, Ga.) picked up an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles for the Colonels. 

Centre would split singles action, as senior Luke Brooks (Pineville, Ky.) earned a win at the No. 3 slot, while senior Caleb Smith (Morristown, Tenn.) and sophomore Ben Hadlock (Okemos, Mich.) collected triumphs at the No. 5 and 6 positions, respectively. 

The Colonels are back in action next Saturday, March 11 with a road contest at Hanover at 1 p.m. ET.
