BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (CentreColonels.com) – The Centre men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to host Birmingham Southern on Sunday in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup at Dielen Tennis Complex.

The Colonels fall to 5-10 with the loss, while the Panthers boost their record to 6-6.

Senior Caleb Smith (Morristown, Tenn.) won his third straight singles match, topping David Goodloe by a score of 7-6(4), 6-3 at the No. 6 singles position.

Senior Luke Brooks (Pineville, Ky.) earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory at the No. 4 singles play for Centre, as well.

The Colonels cap the regular season next weekend with a pair of SAA matchups at home, taking on Rhodes on Friday, April 14 at 4pm ET followed by a contest against Hendrix on Saturday, April 15 at 10am ET.
