Hayhurst Earns Honorable Mention All-American Recognition in 3-Meter Dive
GREENSBORO, N.C. (CentreColonels.com) – Centre diver Sarah Hayhurst (Newburgh, Ind.) capped a stellar sophomore campaign on Saturday, earning Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 3-meter dive at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Hayhurst posted a ninth-place finish in the event with 426.55 points in the finals, garnering All-American recognition for the third time in her career. Hope's Sarah Sheridan won the 3-meter dive title with a mark of 478.40.
She earned All-American accolades in the 1-meter dive on Thursday, finishing sixth in the event with a score of 408.10.
Hayhurst collected All-American honors in the 3-meter dive last season as well, placing fourth in the event.
Her 22 points at this year's championship helped Centre post a 30th place finish in the women's team standings.
