    ATLANTA (CentreColonels.com) –The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced the 2016-17 Winter Sports All-Sportsmanship Teams and 28 student-athletes among the league's eight full-time members and three affiliate members received recognition, with four Centre student-athletes garnering All-Sportsmanship honors. Formed in 2011, the SAA places a special emphasis on good sportsmanship and fair play amongst all competitors.

(CentreColonels.com) – The Centre women’s basketball team, seeded seventh in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament, held a halftime lead in the quarterfinal contest against second seeded Millsaps but were unable to hold onto the lead as Millsaps rallied to defeat the Colonels by a score of 63-51 at Birmingham Southern.
