BLUFFTON, Ohio (CentreColonels.com) – The Centre women's basketball team suffered a 53-35 setback to host Bluffton on Thursday night at the fourth McDonald's Holiday Tournament at the Sommer Center.

The Colonels fall to 3-8 while the Beavers improve to 8-1 with the victory.

Sophomore guard Olivia Schad (Cincinnati, Ohio) paced Centre with seven points on the night while sophomore forward Cheyenne Bunner (Mars Hill, N.C.) added six points and six boards off the bench.

Freshman forward Mikayla Fee (Seymour, Ind.) matched a game-high with seven rebounds for the Colonels in the contest.

Rachel Beining and Abigail O'Donnell led Bluffton with 12 points apiece, while Beining tallied a game-high four blocks to go with seven rebounds for the Beavers.

Bluffton outshot the Colonels 40.0 percent (20-of-50) to 28.6 percent (14-of-49) on the night. Centre connected on 28.6 percent (2-of-7) of 3-pointers and 55.9 percent (5-of-9) of shots from the charity stripe in the game.

The Colonels held a 36-34 rebounding edge and a 20-12 advantage in bench points over the Beavers.  

Centre faces off with Hope in the consolation game of the McDonald's Holiday Tournament tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET.
