JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. (CentreColonels.com) – The Centre women's golf team found itself in 14th place after the first 18 holes of play at the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate. After 36 holes, the Colonels moved up to a tie for 13th place after posting a combined team score of 332 on Saturday.

The Colonels finished tied with Oglethorpe and eight shots back of both Huntingdon and Washington & Lee. Centre finished six shots in front of Piedmont. New York University leads the tournament after shooting 298 on Saturday.

The low scorer of the day for the Colonels was junior Jill Edgington (Edgewood, Ky.), who posted a score of 78 on Saturday and is now Centre's low scorer for the tournament at 157 through 36 holes. Edgington had a pair of birdies in her second round to give her four for the tournament and sits in a tie for 17th place overall.

Junior Eliza Hudson (Mauckport, Ind.) posted a score of 82 for the Colonels on Saturday. Hudson is one of three Centre players in the top 50 overall on the individual leaderboard, joining Edgington and junior Alison Miller (Lexington, Ky.), who fired a round of 84 on the second day of play. Miller, who led Centre after Friday's round, led the Colonels with three birdies on Saturday, including consecutive birdies on the front nine.

Junior Madison Grant (Lexington, Ky.) and freshman Cameron Cahill (Lexington, Ky.) finished off Centre's Saturday totals with respective rounds of 88 and 89, with Cahill's 89 marking a career low for the freshman.
