Colonels Tied for Eighth After Day One of WashU Spring Invite

ST. LOUIS ( – The Centre women's golf team sits in a tie for eighth place after 18 holes at the Washington University (Mo.) Spring Invtitational on Saturday at the Golf Courses at Forest Park.

The 24th-ranked Colonels fired a 326 on the day and are knotted with No. 17 DePauw in eighth.

Fourth-ranked Rhodes paces the field with a 294 followed by No. 33 Gustavus Adolphus in second.

Junior Alison Miller (Lexington, Ky.) was Centre's low scorer on the day, tallying a 78, good for a tie for 15th place. She finished with a birdie and nine pars in the round.

Juniors Jill Edgington (Edgewood, Ky.) and Eliza Hudson (Mauckport, Ind.) each tied for 32nd with rounds of 81 on the day. Edgington matched a team-high with nine pars in the round to go with one birdie. Hudson posted a team-high two birdies on Saturday and tied for the event lead in par three scoring at 3.00.

Junior Madison Grant (Lexington, Ky.) and freshman Cameron Cahill (Lexington, Ky.) both recorded an 86 on the day for the Colonels.
