Centre women in 13th after Sunday at Golfweek DIII Fall Invite
DESTIN, Fla. - The Centre women's golf team wrapped up play for the first of three rounds at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invite at Baytowne G.C. and with 36 holes left to play, the Colonels find themselves in 13th place.
The Colonels shot a combined team score of 338 on Sunday to sit in 13th place, six shots back of Rhodes, Sewanee and Birmingham Southern and seven shots back of Berry. Washington University leads the tournament, followed by Huntingdon and Methodist.
Individually, the low score of the day for Centre came courtesy of freshman Bailey Plourde (Newcastle, Maine), who finished with a round of 80 and currently sits in 19th place overall.
Seniors Alison Miller (Lexington, Ky.) and Madison Grant (Lexington, Ky.) each posted scores of 88 to finish off the opening round for Centre. The Colonels got off to a shaky start as a team, shooting a combined ten over par on the par 4 tenth hole to start the tournament.
