Women's soccer comes from behind to beat Millsaps 3-1

Centre was playing well in the first half with the momentum on their side, but Millsaps would take the advantage late in the half as Jessica Harris was able to get the ball past junior goalkeeper Kelli Lenz (Louisville, Ky.) in the 39th minute to make it a 1-0 lead. Millsaps would take the lead into halftime.

During the first half of action the Colonels out shot Millsaps seven to three and each team had one corner kick.

Millsaps didn't have the advantage for long as senior Christina Giles (Versailles, Ky.) was able to find the back of the net almost six minutes into the second half to tie the game at 1-1. Senior Brittany Garr (Louisville, Ky.) recorded the assist.

Less than three minutes later Giles would pick up her second goal of the match on an assist from senior Sarah Hall (Danville, Ky.) to give the Colonels the 2-1 lead.

The Colonels put the game away in the 81st minute when first year player Morgan Collins (Utica, Mich.) was able to get the ball past Millsaps goalie Sarah Nelin to make it a 3-1 game.

Centre had 13 shots in the second half and five corner kicks. Millsaps had two shots and two corner kicks. Lenz finished the game with two saves.

On the season the Colonels are 9-1 overall and 3-0 in the SCAC.
