Box Score 2 The Centre College volleyball team snapped its six-match losing skid with a pair of wins against Berry College and Fisk University in the Centre Tri-Match Saturday, Oct. 14 at Alumni Gymnasium in Danville, Ky.
The Colonels dropped game on against Berry 25-22, but rebounded to win game two convincingly 25-12. Centre then won games three and four 25-21 and 25-18 for the win.
Three players finished with double-digit kills, including senior Stephanie Woeste (Louisville, Ky.) with 12, freshman Suzanne Asbury (Louisville, Ky.) with 11, and sophomore Lydia Prevost (Knoxville, Tenn.) with 10.
Senior Hannah Greer (Owensboro, Ky.) recorded 37 assists and 15 digs. Senior Evis Muhameti (Boston, Mass.) had 19 digs and three service aces. Junior Jenna Foushee (Louisville, Ky.) had 18 digs and senior Laura Hench (Lexington, Ky.) added 15 digs.
Centre came back in its second match and disposed of Fisk in three games winning 25-15, 25-18 and 25-14.
Woeste had nine kills. Prevost tallied seven kills. Hench finished with six kills and six digs. Sophomore Kary Stivers (Louisville, Ky.) added 13 assists and three service aces. Greer notched 12 assists and junior Amelia George (Boston, Mass.) and Foushee chipped in eight digs each.
Up next is Senior Night Tuesday, Oct. 18 against Asbury University. Start time is set for 7 p.m. in Alumni Gymnasium in Danville, Ky.
