Centre men's tennis finishes season with 8th place finish at SCAC Tourney.

After three days of action at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament the Centre men's tennis finished their season in eighth place in the conference after being ousted by Colorado, 6-3, on Sunday, April 24 in North Little Rock, Ark.

Winning the number one doubles match was junior Ben Newstadt (Louisville, Ky.) and sophomore Xan Witherington (Oak Ridge, Tenn.). They won by a score of 8-5 over Nate Burt and Lionel Zen-Ruffinen.

Witherington was also successful in the number two singles match, as he beat Evan Jonker 6-0 and 6-2.

Sophomore Andrew Howard (Frankfort, Ky.) took the number three singles in three sets over Zen-Ruffinen. Howard fell in the first set 6-0, but he recovered to take the second set 6-4 and the third set 10-7.

The Colonels finished the season with an overall record of 4-14.
