The Centre College women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Bellarmine University in the season-opener for the Colonels Friday, Feb. 17 in Louisville, Ky.

Sophomore Kathryn Hays (Lexington, Ky.) fell 7-6 and 6-1 in No. 1 singles, while freshman Jenna Hazelwood (Lebanon, Tenn.) lost 6-4 and 6-3 in the two closest singles' matches of the day.

Centre fell in two sets in all six singles matches to the NCAA Division II Knights, who improve to 4-2 on the year.

The Colonels lost 8-1 in No. 1 doubles, and 8-4 in both No. 2 doubles and No. 3 doubles.

Centre will next travel to Charleston, W.V. Saturday, Feb. 25 to play the University of Charleston. The match is set to start at 1 p.m.
