The Centre women's tennis team fell 7-2 to Bellarmine University on Tuesday in Danville, Ky.
Centre won just one of the thre doubles matches and one of the six singles matches.
Centre's doubles victory came from the No. 3 team of Katie Howard (Frankfort, Ky.) and Maddie Pitt (Louisville, Ky.), who defeated Bellarmine's Elizabeth Crush and Sarah Hutton 8-2. Kathryn Hays (Lexington, Ky.) picked up the lone singles win, defeating Evann Waschuk 6-4, 6-2 in No. 1 singles.
With the loss, Centre falls to 2-11 on the season. The Colonels wrap up the regular season April 23 at Transylvania before traveling to Little Rock, Ark. for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
