The Centre men's tennis team picked up its second win in three matches with an 8-1 victory over Bloomsburg on Wednesday in Hilton Head, S.C.
The Colonels won convincingly, taking all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.
In doubles, Trey Williamson (Nashville, Tenn.) and Lucas Kelley (Maryville, Tenn.) teamed up to win 8-6 in the No. 1 match while Xan Witherington (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) and Parker Lawson (Prospect, Ky.) won 8-2 in No. 2 and Forrest Kamperman (Miesenbach, Germany) and Eric Theodore (Knoxville, Tenn.) won 8-2 in No. 3.
In singles play Witherington won 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 2 match while Kelley followed with a 6-1, 7-5 victory in No. 3. Nathan Stein (Nashville, Tenn.) swept the No. 4 match 6-0, 6-0 while Alex Wermeling (Lexington, Ky.) won 6-0, 6-0 in No. 5 and Daniel Miller (Evansville, Ind.) took the No. 6 match by the score of 6-3, 6-0.
