The Centre men's tennis team picked up its third straight win with a 5-0 victory over Southern Athletic Association opponent Berry College on Friday in Danville, Ky.
The Colonels began the day by sweeping the three doubles matches, then clinched the overall victory by taking two singles matches.
In the doubles matches, Centre's Xan Witherington (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) and Lucas Kelley (Maryville, Tenn.) picked up an 8-1 win in the No. 1 match while Trey Williamson (Nashville, Tenn.) and Nathan Stein (Nashville, Tenn.) were 8-5 winners in the No. 2 match. Woody Rini (Richmond, Ky.) and Parker Lawson (Prospect, Ky.) were 8-3 winners in the No. 3 match.
Williamson and Kelley captured the two wins in singles play, with Williamson winning 6-2, 6-2, and Kelly winning 6-3, 7-5.
The Colonels improve to 4-3 on the season and continue their season with a home match against Oglethorpe on Saturday.
