The Centre men's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak snapped with a 5-2 loss to Southern Athletic Association opponent Oglethorpe on Saturday in Danville, Ky.
The Colonels took two of the three doubles matches but Oglethorpe came back to clinch the victory by winning the first four singles matches to be decided.
Picking up the two wins for Centre were Xan Witherington (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) and Lucas Kelley (Maryville, Tenn.), who won 8-5 in the No. 1 doubles match, and Woody Rini (Richmond, Ky.) and Parker Lawson (Prospect, Ky.), who posted an 8-5 victory in the No. 3 doubles match.
Centre falls even at 4-4 on the season and will return to action at Georgetown on Wednesday.
