The Centre women's team bounced back from a 5-0 defeat a day earlier by posting a 5-0 victory over Southern Athletic Association opponent Oglethorpe on Saturday.
The Colonels won all three doubles matches, then clinched the victory by winning the first two singles matches to be decided.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of Kathryn Hays (Lexington, Ky.) and Elise Decamp (Lexington, Ky.) won 8-5 while the No. 2 team of Katie Howard (Frankfort, Ky.) and Alex Tolsdorf (Crestwood, Ky.) pulled out a 9-7 win. Abby Tudor (Richmond, Ky.) and Maddie Pitt (Louisville, Ky.) capped off doubles play with an 8-5 win in the No. 3 match.
Hays and Howard also claimed the two singles victories, with Hays winning 7-6, 6-3 in No. 1 and Howard winning 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3.
The Colonels move to 3-6 on the year and travel to take on Georgetown on Wednesday.
