Following the NFL Draft, Centre senior kicker/punter Jordan Gay has been invited to the Carolina Panthers minicamp.
Gay will take part in the team's rookie minicamp which will be held May 10-12 in Charlotte, N.C. and will join a group of five players drafted by the Panthers and 13 undrafted free agents.
Gay is receiving his chance in the NFL after a stellar career at Centre in which he was selected as an All-American and a three-time conference special teams player of the year. Aside from his accomplishments in his college career he gained recognition from NFL teams after a standout performance at the league's Super Regional Combine in Dallas, Texas in April.
