After picking up its first win of the season, the Centre men's tennis team dropped its second match in the Spring TennisFest, falling 7-2 to Carleton on Tuesday in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Centre won one match each in singles and doubles competition, with Nathan Stein (Nashville, Tenn.) playing a role in both.
Stein teamed up with Alex Wermeling (Lexington, Ky.) to win 8-2 over Carleton's Ben Huang and Nikita Formichev in the No. 2 doubles match, and he went on to win in the No. 2 singles match as well, defeating Christian Nagy 6-3, 6-2.
Centre drops to 1-5 with the loss while Carleton moves to 9-4 on the year. The Colonels take on Nebraska Wesleyan in their last match of the TennisFest on Thursday.
