The Centre men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches over the weekend, falling 5-0 at Oglethorpe before losing 6-2 at Berry on Sunday.
Alex Wermeling (Lexington, Ky.) was a part of both wins on the weekend for the Colonels, beginning with a match where he teamed up wth Nathan Stein (Nashville, Tenn.) to defeat Berry's Seth Taylor and Michael Tucker 8-1.
In singles play, Wermeling also went on to pick up a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Austin Miller in the No. 4 match.
For the year, Centre drops to 1-8 overall. The Colonels return to the court when they travel to Campbellsville on Wednesday.
