The Centre women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Birmingham-Southern in its last regular season Southern Athletic Association match Sunday in Danville, Ky.
Centre fell behind by dropping all three doubles matches before bouncing back to take two of the four singles matches that were played to completion.
Centre's two winners on the day were Kathryn Hays (Lexington, Ky.), who won 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles match, and Katie Howard (Frankfort, Ky.), who was a 6-1, 6-1 winner in the No. 6 singles match.
Centre falls to 5-10 overall with the loss while Birmingham-Southern improves to 11-3 on the year. The Colonels return to the court when they host Alderson Broaddus on Thursday.
