The Centre men's tennis team fell 7-2 to Asbury College in a match on Thursday in Danville, Ky.
The Colonels fell behind by dropping all three doubles matches before taking two of the six singles matches.
The winners for Centre were Logan Henize (Cincinnati, Ohio), who defeated Asbury's Stephen Woods 7-6, 6-3 in the No. 2 match, and Lucas Brooks (Pineville, Ky.) who was a 5-7, 6-3, 12-10 winner over Deuce Gibson in No. 4 singles. Additionally, Caleb Smith (Morristown, Tenn.) took his match to three sets before falling 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 to Nick Streibick.
Centre falls to 3-13 on the season while Asbury improves to 9-7. The Colonels are back on the court when they host Rose-Hulman on Friday.
