The Centre women's tennis team suffered a 5-1 loss to Campbellsville on Wednesday in Campbellsville, Ky.
The victory for Centre came in the No. 2 doubles match where Kate Tomey (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Courtney Delong (Louisville, Ky.) beat Campbellsville's Gleidys Salazar 8-6.
The Colonels went into singles play trailing 2-1, and with storms approaching Campbellsville closed out the match by winning the first three singles matches played to completion.
Centre falls to 3-7 on the season while Campbellsville improves to 9-3. The Colonels return to Southern Athletic Association competition when they travel to Rhodes and Hendrix this weekend.
