The Centre men's golf team concluded play at the Rhodes Fall Classic in Tunica, Miss. The Colonels played much better on the second day of the tournament, shooting a combined team score of 293 and finishing fifth out of 17 teams.
Centre's score of 293 was a 17-shot improvement from their first round, ending the tournament with a two-day score of 603 to finish in fifth place, three shots ahead of Transylvania, six in front of Millsaps ad nine ahead of Huntingdon.
Individually, the low men for the Colonels on Monday were senior Grant Blevins (Danville, Ky.) and sophomore Dakota Jarman (Danville, Ky.), each of whom posted even par rounds of 72. Blevins shot even par 144 for the tournament, finishing third overall. Junior Bryan Griffin (Greensboro, N.C.) shot a score of 73, followed by freshman Andrew McKinney (Danville, Ky.) at 76 and sophomore Carson Riley (Hendersonville, Tenn.) at 80 to round out the scoring for Centre.
The Colonels will have a week off before their next tournament, the SAA Preview in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
