The Centre women's tennis team picked up its second victory of the season with a 9-0 sweep of Johnson on Saturday in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Colonels were in dominant form on the afternoon, getting out to a 3-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches by the score of 8-0. Aliza Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Kate Tomey (Indianapolis, Ind.) were winners in the No. 1 match, while Courtney Delong (Louisville, Ky.) and Casey Blair (Louisville, Ky.) teamed up to take the No. 2 match. Abby Tudor (Richmond, Ky.) and Kimberly Randall (Johns Creek, Ga.) won the No. 3 match.
All six players also picked up singles victories as well, with Williams, Tomey, Delong, and Tudor winning in straight sets in the No. 1 through No. 4 matches, respectively. Randall and Blair won the No. 5 and No. 6 matches by the score of 8-0.
With the win, Centre improves to 2-3 on the season. The Colonels are back in action when they host St. Catharine on March 18.
