BEREA, Ky. (CentreColonels.com) – The Centre men's tennis team collected an 8-1 triumph over host Berea on Tuesday evening at the Wilson Evans Tennis Complex. The Colonels boosted their record to 3-5 on the season, while the Mountaineers dropped to 0-4.

Centre swept doubles competition in the victory, as the duo of freshman Ben Hadlock (Okemos, Mich.) and junior Luke Brooks (Pineville, Ky.) earned an 8-3 win at top doubles, while the tandems of junior Logan Henize (Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior Caleb Smith (Morristown, Tenn.) as well as freshman Cy Dutton (Shelbyville, Ky.) and freshman Hendley Traughber (Hopkinsville, Tenn.) each blanked their respective opponents 8-0.

In singles play, Henize, Brooks, Hadlock and Traughber each moved to 2-0 on the day with victories, while sophomore Henry Nguyen (Singapore) collected his first career win with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Berea's Dylan Imbus.

The Colonels return to action on Saturday, March 19 at Covenant at 3 p.m.
