DANVILLE, Ky. (CentreColonels.com) - The Centre women's tennis team picked up its fourth consecutive victory with an 8-1 triumph over visiting Berry in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup on Saturday at Danville High School. 

The Colonels, ranked ninth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic South Regional Rankings, boosted their record to 7-6 on the year with the win, while the Vikings fall to 6-5. 

Centre swept doubles play on the day, as the duo of sophomore Neha Rao (London, Ky.) and junior Aliza Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio) remained undefeated in doubles play with an 8-6 triumph at the top slot. The tandems of sophomores Emily Zelichenok (Louisville, Ky.) and Abigail Kent (College Station, Texas) as well as seniors Courtney DeLong (Louisville, Ky.) and Mary Chapin Snow (Elizabethtown, Ky.) also earned wins in doubles competition. 

Rao, Kent, Zelichenok and DeLong also picked up wins in singles play. In addition, freshman Zena Maddux (Hopkinsville, Ky.) collected a 6-1, 6-1 victory in singles action at the No. 6 position. 

The Colonels will look for their first five-match winning streak since the 2015 season when they host Oglethorpe tomorrow at 10am ET.
