JACKSON, Miss. (CentreColonels.com) – The Centre men's tennis team fell by a score of 7-2 to host Millsaps in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest on Saturday in Mississippi. The Colonels move to 5-9 on the year while the Majors, who sit 14th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic South Regional Rankings boost their overall record to 20-4 with the victory.
Senior Caleb Smith (Morristown, Tenn.) picked up a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Ryan Henry at No. 6 singles, before freshman Matthew Ko (Nicholasville, Ky.) collected a 6-3, 6-4 win at fifth singles for Centre.
The Colonels close out the weekend conference trip with a 9am CT Sunday matchup at Birmingham Southern.
