BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Hannah Bellamah (Loveland, Ohio) tied a program record with 11 points Saturday, helping Centre women's cruise past Birmingham Southern, 24-14, in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play.

Bellamah matched Jacqueline Anderson's 11-point performance against New England College in 2013 (Anderson had eight goals and three assists).

Centre improves to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in-conference, while BSC falls to

Bellamah opened the scoring with a hat trick in just 2:34 of game time, and Colleen Jackson (Gaithersburg, Md.) added one soon after to make it 4-0.

BSC scored four straight to even the game, but Centre went into the half ahead 10-8 as Bellamah and Jackson added to their tallies. Louisville, Ky., natives Hannah Hardy, Mary Katherine Hardy and Bella Tacogue each scored in the opening half, as well.

The Colonels dominated the Panthers in the second half, out-scoring their hosts 14-6.

Centre netted the first six goals of the half to widen its lead, three of which came from the rookie Tacogue, and never truly felt threatened by BSC the rest of the way.

Bellamah finished the game with Centre's final three goals, running her tally up to nine to match Hawthorne's mark.

Jackson totaled eight points on three goals and five helpers, and Tacogue netted a collegiate-high five goals with one assist.

The Hardys each had two goals, as did Haden Gibbons (Chattanooga, Tenn.).

In goal, senior Natalie Marek (Louisville, Ky.) racked up 10 saves in 60 minutes of action.

Gibbons paced Centre with four ground balls, followed by Devin Baker (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Claire Heaney (Fairfax Station, Va.) who had three each.

The Colonels return home next Thursday for a nonconference meeting against Carthage at 6 p.m. ET.
