Box Score CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Centre men's tennis defeated Covenant Friday evening, picking up their first win of the campaign by a 6-3 margin at the McCallie School in Chattanooga.
Centre's first victory moves the team to 1-4 overall, while the Scots slip to 0-3.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The first doubles match across the finish line was No. 3, where Centre's
Danny Nelson and
Thomas Kaplan combined to drop Ben Luke and Tyler Kelly, 8-4.
- After Covenant won at No. 2 doubles,
Arpit Maini and
Matthew Bulow paired up to win 8-4 over Trey Wood and Paxton Haggerty, giving Centre a 2-1 edge following doubles play.

Adam Slone secured Centre's first singles point with a 6-3, 6-3 decision over Luke at No. 3.

Max Middleton followed in another straight set win, 6-3, 6-2 against Haggerty in No. 2 singles.
- The Scots claimed No. 1 singles, but Bulow's 6-1, 6-2 victory against Chris Morton in No. 4 singles clinched the match for the Colonels.
- Hadlock wrapped up Centre's scoring in a 6-2, 6-4 win over Cameron Cortman at No. 5 singles.
