Box Score 2 DELAWARE, Ohio – Centre men's tennis dropped a pair of matches Saturday to open their spring dual match season, falling 9-0 to Hope before dropping a 7-2 match to host Ohio Wesleyan in the Gordon Field House.
Centre (0-2) was without reigning Southern Athletic Association Newcomer of the Year,
Arpit Maini, and suffered a slow start to the campaign with Saturday's losses to Hope (2-1) and OWU (1-2).
HOPE 9, CENTRE 0
- Coming off a 5-4 win in its morning match against OWU, Hope handled all three doubles contests against the Colonels.
- The Flying Dutchmen went on to claim all six singles matches, as well.

Matthew Bulow won his opening set at No. 3 singles over Michael Kiley, 6-0, but ultimately fell in three sets.
- Likewise, Benjamin Hadlock won 6-3 in the first set against Justin Folkert at No. 6 before dropping the match in three.
OWU 7, CENTRE 0
- The Battling Bishops began with a sweep of the three doubles bouts.
- Bulow provided a bright spot for the Colonels at No. 3 singles, as the rookie from Nashville, Tenn., earned his first collegiate victory in a 6-2, 6-0 match against Omar Santiagonunez.
- Hadlock got into another three-setter at No. 6, this time pulling out a 6-2, 2-6, 10-8 win against Ryan Simon.
