Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Centre men's tennis fell by a 9-0 score Saturday afternoon against 35th-ranked Christopher Newport.
The Colonels slide to 2-6 overall while the host Captains improve to 4-5 with the victory.
HIGHLIGHTS
- CNU put pressure on Centre right away by sweeping doubles play.
Ben Hadlock and
Danny Nelson took two games off of seniors William Trang and Nicholas Ruzicka at No. 2 doubles, but it was as close as the Colonels would get.
- The Captains swept all six singles matches to bring the final tally to 9-0.

Max Middleton pushed Andy Mason at No. 2 singles, ultimately falling 7-6, 6-4.

Adam Slone and
Matthew Bulow each lost by 6-4, 6-2 scores at No. 3 and 4 to Ryan Macy and Trang, respectively.
