DANVILLE, Ky. - A rough first inning doomed the Centre baseball team in the first game of their first home conference series of the season as the Colonels fell 3-0 to the Hendrix Warriors at Gary Wright Field.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Warriors' first three hitters reached base on hits and a pair of RBI groundouts later, Hendrix had taken a 3-0 lead.
- Centre had its best chance to put runs on the board in the seventh inning after
Patrick Hope singled and
Chris Esselman doubled, putting runners on second and third with nobody out. But Hendrix's Jack Hodgins pitched out of the jam with a pair of strikeouts and the Colonels never threatened again.
