LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Centre men's track and field team had one final meet to tune up for the upcoming Southern Athletic Association Championships. At the Kentucky Open at the University of Kentucky, the Colonels competed against a field of mostly Division I opponents and although the meet was not scored, Centre still came through with some strong performances.
In the shot put, sophomore
Allen Richardson finished with a throw of 45-9 to finish 12th overall in the event and beat several Division I competitors in the process.
Senior
Keenan Jones led the way for Centre in the 800m with a time of 2:02.52. Sophomore
Ben Hodges finished with a time of 2:08.98 in the same race.
In the 1500m, sophomore
Andrew Edwards finished with a time of 4:17.66, followed by Hodges at 4:23.93.
NEXT UP
Centre track and field will head to Hendrix for the SAA Championships on Apr. 26-27.
