MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Centre women's tennis took care of business Friday in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament quarterfinals, dropping Oglethorpe by a lopsided 5-0 margin at the Adams Tennis Complex.
The two-seed Colonels (9-7) dominated doubles to gain a major advantage, needing just two singles point to bounce the Stormy Petrels (8-8) from the postseason.

Hannah Doherty continued to set the tone in No. 1 doubles, dropping Hannah Dattilo and Shannon Cruz, 8-5.
- In No. 2 doubles,
Caroline Stallings and
Abigail Kent won 8-3 over Charlotte Disley and Elizabeth Bielicki.

Katharine Sherman and
Emily Zelichenok wrapped up with an 8-4 decision against Delaney Abood and Lisette Phillips, helping Centre carry a 3-0 lead.
- Kent put Centre on the brink of victory by blanking Disley in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
- Rao clinched the Colonels' semifinal berth in a 6-2, 6-2 win over Cruz.

The Colonels move onto Saturday's semifinals to meet three-seed Rhodes at 1 p.m. ET. Centre defeated the Lynx 7-2 in the regular season.
