DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's tennis endured a lengthy match against Berry Saturday, ultimately winning, 5-4, after seven hours inside the Seabury Family Tennis Center.
Caroline Lancaster provided the final point in the back-and-forth affair that started on the outdoor courts before inclement weather forced play inside. The Colonels improve to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the Southern Athletic Association while the visiting Vikings fall to 8-2 overall and 3-2 in-conference.

Grace Headley defeated Sakura Manning and Faith Van Rengen, 8-4, in No. 3 doubles, moving to 3-1 as a tandem this spring.

Ella Rueff dropped Adelle Yanez and Emma Kruger, 8-6.
- Sherman won No. 1 singles in straight sets against Allison Ivey, 6-4, 6-2, for her fifth individual victory of 2021.

Hannah Doherty likewise claimed No. 4 singles in two sets, 6-4, 6-4, over Juliana Mascagni.
- The remainder of the singles matches were closely contested, including No. 6 where Lancaster and Van Rengen were locked in a three-set battle as the teams sat in a 4-4 tie. Lancaster, who fell in the opening set, rallied to win 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, finally ending the marathon on her seventh match point. She improves to 7-3 in singles this season.
