ATLANTA - Earlier today the Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for the final week of the regular season in baseball, and Centre's
Jake Holloway took home the league's Pitcher of the Week award for games played through Apr. 18 following an historic start.
Holloway made program history for Centre baseball in Sunday's 5-0 win over Hendrix. Holloway threw a seven-inning no-hitter, the first no-hit game for the Colonels since the NCAA began keeping digital statistics. Holloway struck out seven Warriors in a dominant pitching performance that helped propel Centre into the conference tournament as the no. 4 seed.
Centre baseball will face top seed Berry in the first game of the SAA Tournament on Apr. 22.
