MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Centre women's tennis dropped a 5-1 match to Millsaps in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament Championship Sunday, playing at the Adams Tennis Complex.
 
The Colonels end their season 9-7 overall, while the Majors claim the title and improve to 10-3.
 
Caroline Stallings and Ella Rueff were named to the All-Tournament Team following the match.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
- Millsaps took a 3-0 advantage following a doubles sweep, although Stallings and Hannah Doherty put up a fight against Morris Kelly Clayton and Maggie Dabadie at No. 2, ultimately falling, 8-7 (5).
- Caroline Lancaster earned a point for Centre at No. 6 singles, defeating Clayton, 6-1, 6-2. It was her ninth individual victory of the spring, matching Stallings for the team high.
- Although a couple Colonels were ahead in their contests, the Majors officially ended the match by gaining their fifth point in No. 3 singles.
