LANSING, Mich. – The Centre men's cross country team headed to Olivet to race in the NCAA Pre-National meet with a shorthanded roster. The Colonels still managed to turn in some impressive performances, finishing 22nd overall.
Centre finished with 637 points for the meet, 21 points behind Occidental and 37 points ahead of St. Vincent (Pa.).
Individually, the Colonels were paced by freshman
Reeve VanDemark, who landed just outside the individual top 100 with an 8k time of 26:28.1. He was immediately followed by senior
Spencer Harvey, who posted a time of 26:28.8.
Kaden Huiet was next to cross the finish line for the Colonels as he cleared the course with a time of 26:51.3. He was followed by senior
Ben Camuel (27:18.3) and junior
Will Lovell (27:40.6) to finish off Centre's counted times for the day.
Freshmen
Luke Napier and
Jacob Lloyd rounded out the official marks for the Colonels with respective times of 28:33.2 and 28:48.3.

The Centre men will be off next week and will return to action on Oct. 14 as they head to Otterbein to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble.
