DANVILLE, Ky. – Two weeks since they last competed against a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) opponent, the Centre swimming & diving teams jumped back on the blocks Saturday morning for two dual meets against the Berry Vikings and the Asbury Eagles. The Colonels were able to sweep both teams on both sides, collecting four team wins on the day. The men beat Asbury 221-65 and Berry 179-118, while the women dominated Asbury 232-48 and Berry 215-79.
The women had 10 different student-athletes across their roster earn at least one event win on the day, six of them garnering more than one.
Callie West and Caroline Lee teamed up for a perfect four-for-four event victories, each getting a pair of wins on individual events and relays. The duo teamed up with Emma Daman and Natalie Cox in the women's 200 medley relay, dropping almost a second from their seed time to win the race with a 1:51.48 final time. The pair would later swim with the squad of
Elise Burch and
Greer Manger in the women's 400 free relay, their 3:40.02 final time winning the event by over 11 seconds. Lee, the Nicholasville, Ky., native, excelled for the Gold and White in the backstroke events, dropping two seconds in the women's 100 back (1:00.35) and over two and a half seconds later in the 200 back (2:13.09), both even victories. West would dominate the sprint freestyle events, the only student-athletes to swim under a 25-second 50 free (:24.93) and under a 55-second final time in the women's 100 free (:54.60).
Diving would sweep victories across the board, Haley Rice and Brandon Anderson being the victors for the women's and men's events on Saturday. Rice would collect her first collegiate victory on the boards in the one-meter, six-dive event on a 166.2-point final score, just under 12 points ahead of teammate Gracie O'Brien's 154.65 total (second place). The dual-sport athlete would later earn a second win in the one-meter, five-dive set with 127.28, Gracie O'Brien right behind her at 118.65 for second in the event.
After punching his ticket to the NCAA Divison III Regional Diving Championships after his performance against Sewanee, the freshman boosted his season-best total even higher with a 292.8-point final score in the men's one-meter, six-dive set. He would later have a strong performance with his teammates in the one-meter, five-dive event, Anderson topping the event with 182.4 points,
Sam Feingold placing second with 101.55 points and Jonah Crenshaw finishing third with an 84.75 total.
The men had five different student-athletes earn multiple wins on Saturday,
Kai Oddo leading the pack with a team-high three victories. The junior from Lexington, Ky., dominated the sprints for the Colonels, his :21.68 final time in the men's 50 free dropping under his seed time by .42 seconds. He would later go one-two with
Henry Lang in the men's 100 free, Oddo's :48.55 time in the event being the only one under 50 seconds. He would later be the anchor leg in the 400 free relay, his :47.64 split with Lang, Carter Dilger and Wyatt Fulton combining for a 3:18.1 victory.

The Colonels will head up north to Wittenberg tomorrow (Sunday, Nov. 6) for their next dual meet, Centre traveling to Springfield, Ohio for the contest. Races will kick off at 1 p.m. ET in the final meet of the weekend.
