CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced on Tuesday the 2021-22 WGCA All-American Scholar Team. The Centre women's golf team concluded the 2022 spring season with a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) title, an 11th-place finish at the NCAA DIII Championships and featured two All-Americans. The Colonels excelled in the classroom this past academic year as well as on the field, totaling three student-athletes on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team.

Junior Meaghan Grant headlines the trio, collecting her second Scholar Team nomination. Grant helped push the Gold and White's record-tying margin of victory at the SAA Championships with a final round of 78. Her 244 total at the conference tournament placed her within the top-15 competitors in the event at 14th.

The final two honorees on the list belonged to newcomers, Grace Walker being the first of the two. The All-American Honorable Mention made a name for herself during her freshman campaign, finishing among the top-10 student-athletes according to Golfstat. In eight regular season tournaments, Walker had six rounds resulting in par or better, including a season-low round of 70 on the second day of the Generals Invitational at Washington & Lee back in October.

Freshman Anika Rana rounds out the list of WGCA All-American Scholars, the Duncan, S.C., native finishing the SAA Championship sixth overall on her 239 total. Rana's total can be credited by the consistent play she had throughout the weekend, posting rounds of 79 on the first and final day of the championship.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. There were a total of 1,485 women's golf student-athletes that received the prestigious honor.
