ATLANTA – The Southern Athletic Association finalized all of its postseason information for the second weekend of conference championship action this spring. Below you will find information on all of this week's SAA Championship Tournaments as they relate to Centre.

The no. 2 seed Colonels host the no. 7 seed Sewanee for the opening round of SAA Tournament action. The Colonels took two of three from the Tigers in early April, with Centre winning the final game of the regular season series on a 4-0 win thanks to
Ben Prather's eight strikeouts on the mound in his complete game. The Gold & White will have to win two out of the three games to advance to the next round of the bracket next weekend, the second weekend's host being the highest seed remaining.

The no. 3 seed Colonels head to second-seed Birmingham-Southern to begin the double elimination pod, where they will face off against sixth-seeded Rhodes. Centre enters the tournament having their best conference regular season since 2015, stacking 10 wins that included a three-game sweep over the Lynx in late February. The Gold & White have several fresh faces to the postseason alongside their slew of veterans, including freshman

Top seed Centre hosts the semifinals and finals of the SAA Tournament for the third season in a row after claiming a share of the conference regular season title on a 5-1 record. The Colonels will open up tournament play against no. 4 seed Birmingham Southern, with the winner facing the winner of no. 2 Sewanee vs. no. 3 Rhodes on Sunday. The Gold & White's semifinal round will be a rematch between the two programs, BSC besting Centre back in late march on a score of 16-14.

Centre men's tennis took on one of their toughest season schedule in modern history this past spring, locking up the no. 4 seed in the conference after winning a dozen matches, four in the SAA. The Colonels will travel to Chattanooga, Tenn. for the tournament and drew no. 5 seed Berry Vikings in the quarterfinal round. The Colonels knocked off the Vikings 5-2 in their regular season matchup less than two weeks ago in Danville.

The Centre women's tennis team won double-digit matches in 2023, their second season in a row accomplishing the feat. Headed by first-year Head Cooch
Morgan Cook, the Gold & White will enter this season's SAA Tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn. as the no. 3 seed. The Colonels will face no. 6 seed Oglethorpe in opening round action. Back on Apr. 15, Centre hosted Oglethorpe for Senior Day and came away with an 8-1 victory.

Centre men's golf heads to Dickson, Tenn. and Greystone Golf Club for the SAA Tournament, which will be played Apr. 28-30. The Colonels had a strong season that included a team win in the Chick-Fil-A Invitational this past October, senior

The no. 11-ranked Centre women's golf team enters the conference tournament at the Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. as the favorites in a stacked field. The Colonels tied their record for margin of victory on their way to a second-straight conference title last season. Centre features 2022 WGCA All-American Honorable Mention
Grace Walker as part of their lineup, along with featuring several other key contributors like freshman
Nina McMurtrey.

The 2023 SAA Track & Field Championships will be taking place on Friday and Saturday here in Danville, Ky., at the newly-renovated track at Andy Frye Stadium. The Colonels will have some of the top athletes on the conference performance list going into the meet as the host. On the men's side,
JP Vaught and
Logan Isaacs have both won Athlete of the Week awards inside the conference this season. On the women's side,
Lauren Foutch has been named Track Athlete of the Week twice, while
Meghan Owens and
Madjo Doumbia each earned a Track Athlete of the Week honors in 2023. Centre had a pair also each Field Athlete of the Week honors from the conference,
Callie Gormley and
Jasmine Claunch each getting one.
