TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Centre men's cross country team competed in the NCAA Pre-National meet at Rose-Hulman, where they raced against most of the top teams in the nation. The Colonels finished in the top half of the 46-team field, placing 19th overall.
Individually, the Colonels had two runners land inside the overall top 100 finishers as
Mitchel Meier posted a time of 26:06.31 on the 8k course, followed shortly thereafter by
Reeve VanDemark, who completed the course in 26:09.24.
Freshman
Max Germann destroyed his previous personal best 8k time as he clocked in at 26:18.57. He was followed by
James Schroeder, who posted a time of 26:34.50.
Duke Wilson (26:55.96),
Mitchell Chaffin (27:13.90) and
Baxter Keith (27:24.86) all posted new personal best 8k marks for the Colonels as well.

Centre men's cross country will be back in action on Oct. 18 as they race in the Angel Mounds Invitational at the University of Evansville.
