TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Centre women's cross country returned to action for the first time in two weeks as they raced in the most stacked field of the season at the NCAA Pre-National meet, hosted by Rose-Hulman. The Colonels had a handful of personal best 6k times as they finished 20th overall.
The top runner for the Colonels on this night was
Sophie Bouldin, who cracked the individual top 50 with a time of 22:31.81 to place 45th overall. The other Centre representative in the top 100 overall was
Cara Taylor, whose time of 23:19.50 was just a few seconds shy of a personal best time.
Emma Musgrave finished with her best ever 6k time as she crossed the finish line in 24:12.11. This triggered a string of Centre runners to complete the course as the Colonels ran in a pack, with
Erin Haugh finishing in 24:15.22, followed closely by
Rachel Gaynor with a time of 24:16.39.
First-year
Claire Barnett also posted a personal best 6k as she finished in 24:26.01, just missing out on the top five for the Colonels..

The Colonels will be back in action in two weeks as they return to Indiana to race in the Angel Mounds Invite at the University of Evansville.
