DANVILLE, Ky. – The Centre men's track & field team hosted its second meet of the year inside Champions Hall and it was another strong performance for the Colonels, who finished in second place overall and broke a pair of school records.

The Colonels finished with a combined team score of 103.5 points to take second place in the field of teams spanning all divisions. Lindsey Wilson got the team win with 146 points, with Lincoln Memorial University, Wabash, and the University of the Cumberlands rounding out the top five in that order.

The first program record to fall for the Centre men came in the heptathlon. After establishing a new school heptathlon record two weeks ago at Wittenberg, Nick Whitlow did it again at today' meet as a slew of personal best marks helped the senior accumulate 4,835 points for a new heptathlon high mark.

In the distance races, Preston Dickerson took fourth place overall in the men's 5k with a time of 16:49.59. The 3000m saw Reeve VanDemark finish in third place with a time of 8:59.34, as Will Lovell (9:07.21) and Luke Watkins (9:35.57) each landed in the scoring column as well. In the 800m it was Carter Russell who led the way for Centre, finishing fourth with a time of 2:00.61.

The 200m was a great race for the Centre men as the Colonels had three of the top five finishers. Jeremy Olliges won the race with a time of 22.92, followed by Gray Rahbany (23.21) in fourth and David Almona (23.33) in fifth. Olliges also led the Colonels in the 400m, finishing third with a time of 51.79, with Jackson Heim taking seventh place with a time of 52.32. In the 60m hurdles, Justin Lewis got the win with a time of 8.64, less than a tenth of a second away from a school record.

The second record broken on the day for the Centre men came in the pole vault as two-time All-American Logan Isaacs broke his record from last year after clearing 16-5.75. The pole vault was a strong event overall for the Colonels as Wyatt Ostrander (13-3.5) finished fourth and Alex Hibbens (12-9.5) finished fifth. The men's triple jump saw Philippe N'Dia place fourth overall with a mark of 43-4.5, first among Division III competitors. In the high jump, Michael Smith cleared 6-0.75 to tie for fifth place. In the long jump, Christian Billiter finished eighth overall with a mark of 20-11.5.
