Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Centre men's tennis saw its win streak end at four with a 5-4 loss to Rhodes in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) regular season finale on Sunday.
The Colonels will enter the postseason 9-9 overall with a 4-3 mark in the SAA.
Doubles was the bright spot for the Gold & White on Sunday. The win streak for
Ben Rueff and
Isaac Flanery in No. 2 doubles sits at five after winning 8-7 (7-4) over Gabe Williams and David Phillips.
Jasper Gazzo and
Chase Turley pushed their streak in the third-ranked match to three with an 8-7 (7-5) victory versus Oliver Bonovich and Paul Fridman.
Bo Bush and
Ashton Whitt fell 8-3 to Christian Mainella and Daniel Trudell in the top doubles match.
Rueff and Flanery were the only winners for the Gold & White in singles play. Top seeded Rueff won 6-2, 7-5 over Trudell. Flanery earned his win in the third slot with a 6-4, 6-2 tally over Mainella.
Ashton Whitt fought hard in the No. 2 slot but ultimately fell 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 to Bonovich. Bush fell to Fridman in the fourth slot by a tally of 6-0, 6-2. Gazzo fought to an extra set but went down 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 to Williams in No. 5 action.
Jett Anderson dropped the No. 6 match 6-2, 6-3 to Nicholas Miloi.

Centre will be the four seed in the upcoming SAA Tournament. Action from Murfreesboro, Tenn. is set to start on Friday, April 26.
