Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Centre women's tennis fell 6-3 to Rhodes in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) match that closed out the 2024 regular season.
Entering the playoffs, the Colonels' record sits at 8-9 overall with a 4-3 SAA tally.
Two singles wins came for the Gold & White on Sunday.
Maddy Trinh won the fourth-ranked solo match with a 6-2, 7-5 score over Zainab Baba.
Kayla Harger earned the other Centre singles win as she had a 6-2, 6-2 showing over Esme Benjamin in the No. 5 match.
Carlie Mitchell won seven games in the top singles match before falling 7-5, 6-2 to Gracie Rask.
Grace Williams won the same amount of games in her 6-4, 6-3 setback to Meher Mishra in the No. 2 match.
Kennedy Herring had the same score as Williams in the loss to Emma McHale in the third slot.
Natalie Black was on the wrong side of an 8-2 decision to Sofia Rodriguez.
The doubles team of Williams and Trinh won 8-6 for the Colonels in the top spot versus Mishra and Rodriguez. Mitchell and Herring fought to seven wins in the third match against Rask and McHale but fell 8-7. Black and Harger lost 8-2 to Cami Lowry and Baba in the second slot.

Centre will be the four seed in the upcoming SAA Tournament. Action from Murfreesboro, Tenn. is set to start on Friday, April 26.
